With our parents being close friends, Phil and I grew up together. Phil was the fourth generation of Whites to own and manage the Mortuary. We dated in high school, but when Phil became a Navy man we went our separate ways.

30 years later, we rekindled the romance, married and in 1989 moved to Friday Harbor.




I love to Garden. With an unusual weather pattern this summer, I have no second rose bloom to share with you.

I am proud to have the opportunity to serve the community. If elected I will continue to search for ways to improve the efficiency of the Court system, and to streamline interactions between the Court and the public in the dissemination of information. I have a strong working relationship with the Prosecutor's Office, the Sheriff's Office and District Court, as well as the attorneys and their legal staff. I will make every effort to accommodate all islanders in terms of hours and services available, as well as providing information via telephone and the internet. I want to concentrate on an efficient work force in a congenial atmosphere with consideration to the public's needs.
